Teewing Mars XT 8000W – Crazy Fast Performance for Less
The Teewing Mars XT 8000W is cheaper, almost as fast and just as stable at high speed as its bigger, 10,000W sibling, the Teewing Mars XTR

Teewing Mars XT 8000W – $2899
Teewing is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. Each of their models delivers insane performance for the price, while being built with high quality and the most up-to-date components. We tested the Teewing Mars XTR 10,000W electric scooter a little while ago, and it topped our performance tests in just about every category and has become a favorite among the ESG staff.
For $500 less than Teewing’s top-of-the-line electric scooter, you can get the Mars XT 8000W, which – as you might have guessed – gives you a peak motor output of 8,000 Watts vs 10,000 Watts. The Mars XTR 8000 also has a slightly smaller battery: 2520Wh vs 3240Wh. Otherwise, it’s an identical scooter.
How much difference does 2,000 Watts make? Is it worth saving a little bit of money, or should you ante up and get the big boy? I give you my take below.
Who Is This Scooter For?
The Mars XT 8000W is for anyone who wants to save a few hundred bucks and still get a massively powerful version of one of the very top performance scooters we’ve tested.

Top Speed
I hit 55 going one direction and 53 mph going the other way for an average of 54 mph top speed for the Teewing Mars XT 8000W. We typically have Paul do top speed runs, and he weighs 165 lbs next to my 200 lbs, so a lighter rider will post higher numbers.
One thing I noticed, using GPS software vs the scooter’s speedometer, is that the display is only about 1 mph fast, which is unusually accurate. A 54 mph top speed is all I need in a performance scooter, but if you really need to hit max speeds of around 10 mph faster, you’ll want to opt for the 10,000W version of the Mars.

Acceleration
Our main metric that we use for high powered electric scooters is their zero to 30 mile an hour time. I began testing with the Mars XT in its default mode – mode 2 – of the acceleration settings (“startup strength”), and it blew past the NAMI Klima’s zero to 30 time with an average of 3.98 seconds.
Then, I pushed the setting up to five and shaved off a few tenths of a second with an average zero to 30 speed in two directions of 3.6 seconds. That makes this the sixth-fastest accelerating electric scooter in our database, right in-between the Inmotion RS and NAMI BURN-E 2 MAX. The 10,000W version of this scooter comes in at 3rd fastest so far, with a zero to 30 time of 3.4 seconds.
Range
I did not do a separate range test for this version of the scooter. Given that it has a smaller battery, you can expect it might get slightly less range than the bigger-motor version, but it’s also true that that the 10,000W Mars XTR consumes more power. In any case, I’d estimate you’re likely to get around 50+ miles of range on this scooter compared to the other model’s ESG-tested 56.8.

Braking
Braking components and setup are identical on the 8,000W and 10,000W versions of this scooter, with NUTT hydraulic brakes on both, so we can expect nearly identical braking performance from each scooter.
Ride Quality
The Teewing Mars XT 8000W is a scooters that just feels solid beneath your feet. One minor drawback is of all that weight and presence is that it can feel a touch sluggish around tighter corners, but I’m willing to take the trade-off for a scooter that can take almost anything I throw at it.

I also love the adjustable suspension. Being able to dial in the rebound based on your weight is something you don’t realize you needed until you experience it. Then you’re spoiled for all other scooter suspensions.

Top: Teewing Mars XT 8000W – Crazy Fast Performance for LessTeewing Mars XT 8000W: Design, Build & Reliability
I think the defining characteristic of this scooter, and Teewing scooters in general, is overall build quality and beefiness. You’ve got twin stems, twin stem locks, dual stanchion suspension, an awesome suspension linkage setup that feels totally unique.
It’s only been with Kaabo’s Wolf King line of scooters that we’ve seen this level of build. It instills a sense of confidence when you get on the scooter. You know you’re not going to feel any speed wobble until the very top speeds.
Again, like the Kaabo Wolf King line of scooters, you get really wide handlebars and a good height on the handlebars. Even if you’re a taller rider, you won’t find yourself crouching over to grab the handlebars. I’m six feet tall, and I typically like my handlebars up around 40 to 42 inches. These are super comfortable for me.
Since all the components and features are the same, you can check out the scooter in even more detail in our previous full review of the 10,000 Watt model. The only place that this scooter is going to be different is in the performance numbers.

Teewing Mars XT 8000W: Is It Worth It? Our Verdict
Should you buy the 10,000W version of this scooter because it’s the absolute fastest, or should you save money and get the 8,000 Watt version? As usual with these questions, it depends on what you value. Despite all the high-powered electric scooters I’ve ridden, I actually think that speeds over about 45 or 50 miles an hour are completely impractical for everyday use.
The top speed of at least 55 miles an hour from the 8,000 Watt version is more than enough for me or just about anyone. Its zero to 30 time of under four seconds, even with a heavier rider, makes it almost as quick as the 10,000 watt version. So you really aren’t sacrificing any acceleration with the lower output model.
If it were my money, I would be very, very happy with the 8,000 Watt version and an extra $500 in my pocket. In any case, Teewing is a fantastic brand; no matter which model you get, you’re getting a scooter that punches above its price.
