Hiley Tiger King RS vs. Tiger Supra (2025): Which Hyper Scooter Should You Buy?

If you asked for a no-nonsense comparison between Hiley’s two heavy hitters, here it is. We put the Hiley Tiger King RS (72V)up against the Hiley Tiger Supra (60V) and ran them through the same battery of tests: lux (headlight) output, measurements and build, controls, acceleration, top speed, braking, noise, and real-world range. Same rider. Same roads. Same process. By the end of the day we logged 60+ miles of testing and enough data to make a clear recommendation.

This review follows Google’s Helpful Content guidance: it’s written for riders first, based on hands-on results, with plain-English takeaways and transparent test conditions.

Quick Verdict

  • Winner: Tiger King RS
It accelerates a bit harder, holds speed better as the battery drops, runs a more controlled suspension, and—despite a smaller battery—returned slightly more range in our real-world test.
  • Best Value: Tiger Supra
For about $500 less (~20% cheaper), the Supra delivers roughly 95% of the RS’s performance while keeping nearly all the same build, controls, and features. If value is your priority, start here.

What’s (Almost) the Same

  • Frame & Ergonomics: Identical chassis, deck, bars, latch, wiring harness.
    • Deck length: 22.5 in (about 27–27.5 in including kicktail)
    • Deck width: 9 in
    • Handlebar width: 27 in
    • Height (to bars): ~41 in
    • Stem tilt when folded: ~11°
  • Water & Weather: IPX7 on both—class-leading water resistance.
  • Battery Cells: Both use Samsung 50GB cells.
  • Controls & UI: Same cluster (power/horn, +/− for gears, thumb throttle), bright LCDNFC unlock, left/right turn signals.
  • RGB Lighting: App-controlled side lighting with multiple colors and effects.

What’s Different (And Why It Matters)

Voltage & Power Delivery

  • Tiger King RS: 72V platform
  • Tiger Supra: 60V platform

The RS’s higher voltage shows up in quicker mid-to-high-speed pull and stronger voltage-sag resistance as the battery percentage drops.

Suspension Damping

  • RS: Damping adjuster on the bottom with noticeably stronger damping. Press it down and it settles instead of pogoing back.
  • Supra: Damping knob on top; even maxed out it feels springier than the RS.

Tires

  • RS: Runs larger 11-inch rubber, adding stability at speed.
  • Supra: Smaller by comparison; still stable, but the RS feels more planted when the pace rises.

Headlight, Noise & Free-Spin

  • Lux (approx.):
    • RS: ~750 lux at the same test distance
    • Supra: ~650 lux
The difference is there on paper but barely noticeable to the eye at night.
  • Motor noise at ~3 ft:
    • RS: ~78–79 dB
    • Supra: ~72–73 dB (a touch quieter)
  • Free-spin speed (both): ~75 mph (diagnostic curiosity; not a real-world target)

Acceleration: Side-by-Side Numbers

All runs were GPS-timed, same rider and road, dual-motor/high-performance mode where applicable.

Tiger Supra (60V) – best representative run

  • 0–10 mph: 1.72 s
  • 0–20 mph: 3.61 s
  • 0–30 mph: 6.29 s
  • 1/8 mile: 14.9 s

Tiger King RS (72V) – best representative run

  • 0–10 mph: 1.61 s
  • 0–20 mph: 3.27 s
  • 0–30 mph: 5.33 s
  • 0–40 mph: 8.89 s
  • 1/8 mile: 13.85 s

Low-Battery Acceleration (illustrative samples)

  • At ~13% (Supra): 0–10 1.68 s, 0–20 3.79 s, 0–30 8.78 s, 1/8 mi 17.3 s
  • At <20% (Supra): 0–10 1.67 s, 0–20 3.51 s, 0–30 6.45 s, 0–40 12.66 s, 1/8 mi 15.06 s

Takeaway: The RS is quicker everywhere and stays quicker as the battery drains.

Top Speed: What You Can Actually Expect

Tiger Supra

  • GPS-verified peaks ~53–54 mph on a mild 3% downhill;
  • On level or slight uphill, ~48–50 mph is the realistic, repeatable “usable” top end.
  • 0–50 mph example: 28.1 s (it crawls from 50→53+).

Tiger King RS

  • Stronger pull past 50 mph with observed peaks ~56–57 mph on decline;
  • Holds speed better at lower battery percentages.

Takeaway: Both are very fast. The RS is the one that still feels eager after 50 mph.

Range: Real-World, High-Speed Riding

Test rider mass: ~210 lb with gear
Style: “Full-blast” road pace, often high-30s to low-40s mph, mixed slight grades

  • Tiger Supra (60V, 40Ah): ~31 miles to empty
  • Tiger King RS (72V, 35Ah): ~32 miles to empty

Surprise: Despite the smaller 35Ah pack, the RS matched—and slightly beat—the Supra. More importantly, at 5% battery the RS still held ~28 mph, and even flirting with 0% it could keep the scooter moving in the low-20s mph. The Supra at very low state-of-charge dropped into bike-lane pace.

Takeaway: The RS’s higher voltage and lower sag translate to more usable speed deeper into the pack.

Braking & Control Feel

Both use hydraulic brakes with a crisp, linear lever feel. At the lever, modulation is excellent on both scooters. The RS’s damping makes the chassis settle more under hard stops, which helps confidence on uneven surfaces.

Day-to-Day Usability

  • Latch & Fold: Same three-point stem latch on both. Secure, but these are not scooters you want to hand-carry for long.
  • Controls: Same layout; buttons are snappy and the LCD is readable in bright sun.
  • Signals: Bright bar-end indicators—easy to see in traffic.
  • NFC: Tap to unlock on both.
  • Customization: App-controlled RGB side lighting for visibility and style.

Pricing & Value (as tested)

  • Tiger King RS (72V): ~$2,500
  • Tiger Supra (60V): ~$2,000 (about $500 less, ~20% cheaper)

Value math: The Supra gives you ~95% of the RS’s performance and keeps essentially the same build and features. If you want maximum bang-for-buck, Supra wins. If you want the best performer with better damping, stronger high-speed pull, and superior low-SOC punch, RS is worth the extra.
