Segway Debuts New Segway GT3, Max G3 & More at CES

Segway GT3 – $1499

When it comes to sports scooters, the Segway GT1 and GT2 set records that stood for years, but as the years changed, these scooters stayed the same. They’ve been eclipsed by more than a handful of competitors. Now, we’re getting upgrades of Segway’s performance classics with the GT3 and GT3 Pro, currently making their debut at CES in Las Vegas, the trade show for all things tech.

Like their most recent release, the Segway Ninebot ZT3 Pro, Segway’s GT3 and GT3 Pro trade highway speed for power, acceleration, and range, features that are much more useful on just about every ride. There’s really no reason to go any faster than the GT3 Pro’s claimed top speed of 49.7 mph. But you’ll use its massively fast acceleration times (0 to 30 in 3.9 seconds in Ultra Boost Mode for the Pro) at every stop.

The GT3 Pro has a combined nominal output of 3,500W from its dual motors, which comes out to a whopping 7,000 Watts of combined peak power output and a claimed 86 miles of maximum range, a number that has only been achieved by one electric scooter in our tests, the Dualtron X Limited. Everything else falls behind the second place long-range winner, the 66.8 mile Dualtron Storm Limited.

We’ll do our best to put Segway’s claims for the GT3 Pro through our rigorous testing process. For now, you can ride the single motor GT3 yourself, for as long as it’s still in stock at Segway, for only $1,499, which is *half* the current going price of the GT1. That’s an incredible price you can’t pass up if you’re interested, but full MSRP is only $1,699 if you want to think about it. Of course, we can’t tell you what prices will look like when promised tariffs go into effect….

The GT3 is a single motor super scooter with 2400W of peak power, 0-30 mph acceleration in 9.5s (in boost mode), dual hydraulic suspension, and a claimed 31 mph  top speed, 45 miles of maximum range, and a very steep 30% climbing slope max. It’s got 11-inch self-sealing tires and dual hydraulic suspension. And this being Segway, there’s also a ton of integrated tech, including traction control, Segway’s stability enhancement system, automatic locking/unlocking, and Apple Find My.

Taking the Mantle: The Segway Ninebot MAX G3

You also find all-new tech on the new Segway Ninebot MAX G3, successor to the mighty MAX G2 and original Segway MAX, which remains one of the all-time best-selling electric scooters and a continued benchmark for our comparisons. The MAX G3 looks incredible, a major upgrade with dual hydraulic suspension up front, dual adjustable hydraulic suspension in the back, and a maximum range of up to 49.7 miles.

Even More New Models: Segway F3, E3 & More

Given what we’ve already seen in the new Segway Ninebot ZT3 Pro design, released last year, Segway’s estimates are likely close to real-world numbers. The company has complete quality control over every electric scooter they build, and their quality has improved with every new model released.

In fact, Segway actually has 7 new models coming for 2025. In addition to the GT3, GT3 Pro, and MAX G3, Segway will also launch the F3, F3 Pro, E3, and E3 Pro, four budget models sure to keep blowing away the competition with technology, reliability, and ride quality upgrades.
