VMAX Scooters 2025 – See All 6 New Models

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is over, but the previews we got of new electric scooters from companies like Segway and VMAX have kept us hooked, and we can’t wait to see what other scooter companies have in store for us this year. Swiss company VMAX has built electric scooters for a decade now, and it really shows in the VMAX scooters 2025 lineup.

VMAX’s new scooters refine and upgrade what were already some of the best-designed scooters on the market, with models like the VX2, VX2 Extreme, and VX4 Pro competing with the likes of the Segway MAX and MAX G2 – two of our benchmarks – for best daily commuter.

The competition’s seriously heating up, but it looks like VMAX has taken what has made their 2024 models already outstanding and improved it in every way, giving riders what they should expect from an electric scooter this year, and more: including support for 7 languages, standard front and rear signals, IOS and Android apps, in-app navigation, a 2 year warranty, UL 2272 safety certification, and IPX6 water resistance rating.

2025 VMAX VX2 – In Two Varieties, Geared and Brushless

Gone is the VX5 Pro, with its 840W peak power single motor. VMAX has completely upped the game with a suite of single-motor beasts that each have a peak power output of 1300 Watts and up. Gone also is the VX2 Extreme. Instead, the VMAX VX2 will come in two different motor varieties: a geared and a brushless motor version.

The geared VX2 is the less expensive, lower-speed version of the two, with a top speed of 19 mph, but it’s also got more torque for climbing up to 38% inclines, where the brushless version hits 33 mph max and climbs up 35% hills. Oh! And both versions now feature front and rear rubber suspension. In fact, all of VMAX’s scooters except the coming VX8 now have dual suspension.

VMAX VX4 Gets an Upgrade

The VX4 returns this year, with expectedly huge specs – 2800W of peak power, a 52V 20.3Ah battery for up to 68 miles of range, and a 33 mph top speed. It’s specced for a ridiculous 40% incline, and the VX4 now sports front adjustable hydraulic suspension and rear rubber suspension, with a low-maintenance brake profile of front drum brake and rear disc + regenerative braking.

New VMAX Models for 2025 – VMAX VX6, VX7 & VX8

VMAX introduces three new models this year: the VX6, VX7, and VX8. Coming later in 2025, the VX7 is a folding urban commuter with a side-by-side platform for front-facing riding. It’s a design that hasn’t become quite as popular as it should given enhanced handling, but the VX7 could change that. The VX8, also coming later in the year, is a carbon-fiber version of VMAX’s single motor commuter, with a 19 mph top speed and 40 mile range.

The Dual Motor VMAX VX6

We’re most excited about the new dual-motor flagship VX6, which looks like an absolute monster, bigger than anything we’ve seen so far from VMAX, with 5500 Watts of peak motor power, a 43 mph top speed, and an incredibly steep 45% incline climbing profile. That’s not even to mention 11″ tubeless tires, front and rear hydraulic brakes, and adjustable front hydraulic and rear rubber suspension.

The VX6 will probably hit a couple of our Best Ofs this year, and we expect that other scooters in this VMAX scooters 2025 lineup will do the same. This has been the company to watch, even if their minimal black scooters tend to fly under the radar.

We’ll bring you even more info as we have it about upcoming models, like the VMAX VX7 and VX8, and look for our reviews of the new VMAX models in the coming months. For now, take a look at VMAX’s current 2024 lineup, the VX5 Pro, VX2 Pro, VX2 Extreme, and VX4, all on sale now in the new year.
