RoadRunner RS6 Ultra Review: The Fastest 60V Electric Scooter We’ve Ever Tested
At Electric Scooter Guide, we’ve tested more than 200 electric scooters over the past six years, from budget commuters to high-performance beasts. Few scooters have surprised us as much as the RoadRunner RS6 Ultra, a 60-volt machine that claims to reach 60 mph and deliver an 80-mile range. Those are big promises—and we put them to the test.
This review dives into real-world performance, specs, pros and cons, and whether the RS6 Ultra is worth its $2,899 price tag.

First Impressions and Build Quality
At first glance, the RoadRunner RS6 Ultra looks every bit like a premium performance scooter. It ships with dual 1500-watt motors, full hydraulic Nutt brakes, and 11-inch PMT racing tires. The standout feature, however, is its removable 22 lb battery, which makes charging easier and storage far more practical for riders with limited space.
We weighed the RS6 Ultra at 106 lbs—heavier than the claimed 98 lbs—but with the battery removed, it drops closer to 84 lbs. That’s still hefty, but it’s a big advantage compared to fixed-battery competitors.
The fold mechanism is borrowed from the RS5 Max, and it’s one of the most secure, user-friendly designs we’ve tested.

Performance Testing
We don’t take manufacturer claims at face value. All testing is done on our ESG performance course with a 235 lb rider, aggressive riding style, and real-world terrain.
Top Speed
RoadRunner claims 60 mph, and the RS6 Ultra delivered. We logged a top speed of 58.5 mph, making it the fastest 60V scooter we’ve ever tested. For context, it outpaced the Apollo Phantom V4 and even rivaled some 72V machines.
Acceleration
- 0 to 15 mph: 1.77 seconds
- 0 to 30 mph: 4.15 seconds
These times put the RS6 Ultra at the front of its class, even edging out the 72V RoadRunner RS Jet in acceleration. The 60A sine wave controller deserves much of the credit, providing blistering power with smooth, predictable throttle delivery.
Hill Climb
On our test hill, the RS6 Ultra clocked 6.35 seconds, flying past other 60V competitors and confirming that torque is not in short supply.
Range
Here’s where the story changes. RoadRunner lists an 80-mile range, but our official ESG test yielded just 30.1 miles under aggressive riding. Lighter riders and gentler settings may stretch that closer to 40+, but no rider should realistically expect 80.

Ride Quality
The RS6 Ultra doesn’t just go fast—it feels stable while doing it. The KK hydraulic suspension is adjustable and soaks up road imperfections with confidence. Paired with wide 11×4” tubeless PMT tires and a steering damper, the scooter remains planted even at high speeds.
The TFT display is crisp, easy to read, and integrates turn signals, lights, and battery data. RoadRunner’s new Road Glow lighting system not only improves visibility but also gives the RS6 Ultra a futuristic edge at night.

Who Should Buy the RoadRunner RS6 Ultra?
The RS6 Ultra is not for beginners. At nearly 60 mph, it’s best suited to experienced riders who understand high-performance scooters and value stability, braking power, and top-shelf components.
For city riders with limited storage, the removable battery is a game-changer. For performance enthusiasts, the acceleration and handling put it ahead of most scooters in its class. But if long-range commuting is your top priority, you’ll want to look at alternatives with more efficient range delivery.

Final Verdict
At $2,899, the RoadRunner RS6 Ultra positions itself as a serious contender in the high-performance scooter market. It’s the fastest 60V scooter we’ve ever tested, and one of the easiest to ride at high speeds thanks to its suspension, sine wave controller, and thoughtful design.
While its real-world range is closer to 30 miles than the claimed 80, the RS6 Ultra delivers on the most important promise: uncompromising speed and performance. For riders who want the thrill of a hyper scooter without the 72V price tag, this may be the scooter of the year.
