The NAVEE XT5 Pro is a single-motor electric scooter that bridges the gap between everyday commuters and much larger performance scooters.

It has a 700W motor rated for up to 2,200W peak power, a 596Wh battery, 31 mph claimed top speed, dual adjustable spring suspension, and massive 12-inch tubeless tires.

And yes, it actually hit 31 mph in our testing.

The Short Verdict

Bottom Line · ESG Verdict
97/100
Our score
$1,099.99 currently

The XT5 Pro hits its advertised top speed. That alone puts it in a small group. Big 12-inch tires make 30 mph feel calm, and the single motor climbs better than its spec sheet suggests. In practice the trade-offs show up fast. At 72.6 pounds it is a lot of scooter to lift. The LCD washes out in bright sun, and hard riding empties the stock battery in under 13 miles.

Buy it if: you want real 30 mph stability and premium safety tech without moving up to a heavy dual-motor machine. Skip it if: you carry your scooter up stairs daily, ride real trails, or need long range at full speed.

The XT5 Pro completed our quarter-mile hill climb in 48.81 seconds, maintaining around 19 to 20 mph through much of the climb. That’s strong performance from a single-motor scooter.

Acceleration gets much more interesting once Boost mode is activated. Sport mode required 12.25 seconds to reach 20 mph, while Boost cut that to just 6.94 seconds. It reached 25 mph in 10.80 seconds and 30 mph in 18.17 seconds.

Despite the extra performance, acceleration remains smooth and predictable rather than jerky.

The huge 12-inch tires are another highlight. They give the scooter excellent stability near 30 mph while still allowing it to carve surprisingly well. The only downside is some vibration at higher speeds from the hybrid tread pattern.

Suspension is noticeably firm. That works well for fast city riding, but despite the chunky tires and aggressive styling, this wouldn’t be our first choice for serious off-road use.

Braking is strong even though NAVEE uses mechanical rather than hydraulic disc brakes. Our 15 mph stops came in at roughly 15 to 17 feet, with electronic braking adding significant stopping force at lower speeds.

What About Range?

NAVEE XT5 Pro side view showing the deck, stem and dual spring suspension

NAVEE claims up to 50 miles when riding at 15 mph, but our test was considerably more demanding.

With a 200 lb rider, Boost mode, roughly 20 to 25 mph average speeds, hot weather, and significant elevation change, we traveled 12.7 miles before the scooter heavily restricted its performance at 12% battery.

Slower riders should see substantially more range, but anyone planning to regularly ride near 30 mph should keep our result in mind. NAVEE’s own spec sheet lists 19.3 miles at 24.9 mph, which lines up much better with what we saw than the headline 50-mile figure does.

The good news is that NAVEE supports an optional expansion battery that can significantly increase range.

Features

NAVEE XT5 Pro cockpit with LCD display, handlebar turn signal controls and thumb throttle

The XT5 Pro is packed with technology, including:

  • TCS traction control
  • NAVEE Fly Lock proximity unlocking
  • Apple Find My compatibility
  • Handlebar turn signals
  • Daytime running lights
  • IPX6 water resistance
  • Optional expansion battery
  • Optional fast charger
NAVEE XT5 Pro headlight measured at 1,800 lux from six feet away

Its headlight is another standout. We measured 1,800 lux from six feet away, roughly twice the output we see from many lower-priced scooters.

Pros and Cons

The XT5 Pro’s biggest strengths are its excellent high-speed stability, smooth acceleration, strong hill climbing, huge tires, bright lighting, and unusually deep technology package.

Our biggest complaints are the 72.6 lb weight, relatively dim LCD display, firm suspension, and mechanical rather than hydraulic brakes.

Pros

  • Actually reaches its claimed 31 mph
  • 48.81-second quarter-mile hill climb, holding 19 to 20 mph
  • 0 to 20 mph in 6.94 seconds in Boost mode
  • 12-inch tubeless tires keep it planted near 30 mph
  • Smooth, predictable power delivery rather than jerky
  • 15 to 17 ft stops from 15 mph on mechanical brakes
  • 1,800 lux headlight, roughly double many rivals
  • Traction control, Fly Lock, Apple Find My and turn signals

Cons

  • 72.6 lb is heavy to lift or carry upstairs
  • 12.7 tested miles against a 50-mile claim
  • LCD display is relatively dim in bright sun
  • Firm suspension is tuned for pavement, not trails
  • Mechanical disc brakes rather than hydraulic
  • Hybrid tread vibrates at higher speeds

Should You Buy the NAVEE XT5 Pro?

Folding stem latch mechanism on the NAVEE XT5 Pro

The NAVEE XT5 Pro is a strong option for riders who want a fast city scooter without jumping to a huge dual-motor machine.

It actually delivers its claimed 31 mph top speed, handles hills well, feels exceptionally stable at speed, and has enough technology to stand out from more basic performance scooters.

It isn’t especially lightweight and aggressive riding burns through the stock battery fairly quickly, but the XT5 Pro gets the fundamentals right.

If your priorities are speed, stability, smooth power delivery, and premium features, the NAVEE XT5 Pro deserves a close look.

NAVEE XT5 Pro FAQ

How fast is the NAVEE XT5 Pro?

NAVEE claims 31 mph and our test scooter reached 31 mph. That is unusual. Most scooters we test land a few miles per hour under the number on the box.

What is the real range of the NAVEE XT5 Pro?

We covered 12.7 miles before the scooter heavily restricted power at 12% battery. That run used Boost mode at 20 to 25 mph with a 200-pound rider, hot weather, and a lot of elevation change. NAVEE claims up to 50 miles at 15 mph, and its own spec sheet lists 19.3 miles at 24.9 mph. Ride slower and you will see much more. An optional expansion battery is also available.

How much does the NAVEE XT5 Pro cost?

It sells for $1,099.99 right now, against a $1,499.99 list price.

How much does the NAVEE XT5 Pro weigh?

Our scale read 72.6 pounds. That is fine for rolling it into a garage or loading it into a car. Daily stairs get old fast.

Is the NAVEE XT5 Pro good on hills?

Yes. It finished our quarter-mile hill course in 48.81 seconds while holding roughly 19 to 20 mph through most of the climb. That is strong for a single motor.

Does the NAVEE XT5 Pro have hydraulic brakes?

No. It uses mechanical disc brakes front and rear, backed by electronic braking. Stopping power is still strong. Our stops from 15 mph measured 15 to 17 feet.

Can the NAVEE XT5 Pro handle off-road riding?

It looks the part with 12-inch tires and dual adjustable spring suspension, but the suspension is tuned firm for fast pavement. It will cross gravel and hard-packed dirt. For real trail riding we would pick something else.
